Part of BEA's teacher training program gives trainees to learn about teaching methods through 40 hours of seminar-style class instruction with me. During these two weeks, they also have 10 hours of classroom observation after each of these lessons so that they can see teaching theory put into practice. For the last two weeks of the program, the trainees get to teach their very own classes with student volunteers. This is my favorite part of the training program because I'm always amazed at how each trainee has a different way of putting theory into practice, and at how quickly they improve from one lesson to the next.
