Welcome to BEA!
The Bayon English Academy (BEA) opened its doors on September 6, 2010 to provide quality English language education to the poorest children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. BEA provides students with all their learning materials and a clean, safe environment for studying. Teachers also receive training in the most recent language teaching methodologies and practices from overseas experts. All of this is provided for free.
Our mission is to empower our students through education so that they have the confidence to follow their dreams. An opportunity they would not have without BEA.
BEA is recognized as an official non-government organization (NGO) by the Cambodian Ministry of the Interior. BEA also received accreditation in August 2011 by the Cambodian Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) as an educational institution equivalent in status to a secondary school. This means that BEA can issue its own government-recognized certificates for its English language and teacher-training programs.
